2010...where'd you come from?
Okay...Okay...so its been said before...I've REALLY been meaning to update this a lot more than I have. It just seems like 2010 came out of nowhere. This past month or so as been even more crazy than the normal holiday "hustle and bustle". With the end of a VERY stressful semester of grad school, Hudson's first birthday, Christmas, and New Years....my time has been limited. I've thought to myself several times that I need to and want to update and brag about my sweet boy and all his cute accomplishments...but then I get lazy and decide I'd rather have some couch time...(there I confessed). So with the New Year I have decided to recommit myself to the blogging world and try to update as much as I can through this crazy busy time in our lives...stop and smell the roses, right? Its always nice (and sad) to look back at all the old posts when Hudson was so teeny:( So I want to keep it up. BUT for the sake of my time and space on this blog I will not fill it with all the missed pictures over the last months. Just a few special ones that are necessary because of their importance and cute factor, of course. And one major update about our sweet Mr. Dinks....he's walking!!! Right now its just about 4 or 5 steps in a row but I think he's gonna really be booking it in about a weeks time. WAY TO GO STINKY!
Now for some photos:)

Its almost here.
Hudson's 1st birthday is tomorrow. To say I can't believe it is an understatement. One year ago on this very night I sat at our kitchen table eating sushi (I of course was not eating anything raw since little stinky was still inside me:) with my mom, dad, and Tyler talking about my back pain and joking that maybe I should pack a bag for my 35 1/2 week check up the next day. I didn't back my bag...but I should have. Hudson was born the next day at 3:32pm. It was a Godsend that I had an appointment that morning or who knows what would have happened. I definitely wouldn't have made it to Baptist or at least thats what Dr. Crowe told me. Specifically she said..."If your water would have broken at home...you would have had that baby on the side of the road!" Which would NOT have been good considering he was breech. The whole experience was surreal but one I will never forget. Hudson has been the most wonderful, amazing, precious gift I could ever receive. He has taught me so much in this past year and made me view the world completely different than I use to. I could not ever imagine my life without him and I am so thankful that God chose me to be his momma:) I must go now....before I cry all over my keyboard.....Happy Birthday my little dink dink....I love you:)

I'm not lazy...
I swear I'm not. I've just had my plate so full lately when I find a spare minute I usually don't want to spend it on the computer. So this post will be short and sweet...but with a promise to give a more thorough update in the next few days:) All is well in the Blake household.Hudson is a mess. Smart as a tack. Busy as a bee. And CUTE as a button:) Not walking yet but he is much steadier on his feet now. After Thanksgiving is over I will make sure to give a post FULL of pictures. After all, its been a month so I have about 150 to share:) But here are a few from Halloween and one of our trips to the park. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!! We all have so much to be thankful for:)

Happy Fall!
Fall is upon us....yay! I have been ready this time of year and all the fun memory making that comes along with it! Not too mention all the terribly cute outfits we have lined up for Hudson. And speaking of our little monster he is doing lots of things these days! Pulling up on everything, letting go all by HIMSELF, cruising around furniture, and babbling up a storm! Its amazing the changes they make in just a few short weeks. Its so fun to watch:) I try not to jinx him...BUT I think he'll be walking in the next month or so....time will tell. He really is a hoot and a handful! You have to be quick around here because he gets away from you much faster than you ever thought a crawling baby could! He had his 9 month visit with Dr. Roads a few weeks back and got an A+! His weight was close to 21 pounds and "roughly" 29 inches. I say "roughly" because he threw such a fit being measured it was hard to get an accurate measurement but I think he is longer. Tyler and I got the tape measure out when we got home and he was between 29 1/2 and 30. The long and slender trend continues but he is definitely a good eater:)
We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend so that he could have his very first pumpkin picking experience. He loved it! He thinks the pumpkins are just the neatest thing and still everytime we open the door to show him the pumpkins on the front porch he gets VERY excited...too cute.

Quick update
Sorry for the lack of posts lately....so much has been going on. Without going into too much detail (for the sake of time:) we have had a rough past few weeks. All those who know me/us who read this blog probably already know the amount of loss my family has suffered over the last few weeks...first with the passing of my Oma Griffis about 2 weeks ago and then with the passing of my Opa Sample one week later. Its been very hard and needless to say there has not been too much extra time lately to update. Hudson also had his first virus in the middle of all of this and was pretty miserable for a couple days with a high fever. AND momma is now in Grad School at the big Peay so that is time consuming as well. But I promise to post soon with lots of updated pics! We are on the mend. Stay tuned...
