Talking up a Storm!
Whoo-wee! Time is just flying these days. I just wish the warm weather would fly on in with it...and stay! I am way behind on posting...but in my defense one of my classes this semester requires a ton of blogging about technology tools for edcuation...so that has been eating up my bloggin time. So much is going on with Hudson these days! He is talking non-stop and when I say non-stop...that means he won't even stop long enough to take bites of his breakfast in the morning! Its so cute....most of the time;) He will say anything you ask him and it still surpises me when he uses new words...I always think..how'd he learn that? We read all day long so I know that really helps broaden his vocabulary and I just love that:) His favorite thing lately is to introduce himself to people or things...for instance "Hi dog, I Hudson!" Its so cute! Tyler is taking him fishing for the first time this weekend and he's been talking about going all week. I hope this weather cooperates. I am going along with camera in tow so I will hopefully have some cute pics to post. It's crunchtime for school right now, end of the semester and also the end of all my coursework/portfolio stuff SO I'm very busy, but I am really going to try to keep updating. I want to remember all these cute and funny things Hudson is doing right now. I love this age...I don't think 2's are so terrible...but ask me that again in a couple more months:)

2 year stats
Hudson went to the doctor back in January for his 2 year check up. All went well! We always love visiting with Dr. Roads and hearing about all the fun stuff that is in our future. Hudson is surprisingly not shy with Dr. Roads. He kind of walks down the hall like he owns the place. Then he just hops around the room and has a good time while he waits for Dr. Roads. This time he said hi and bye, showed off his imitation of the Grinch, and gave Dr. Roads a good high five:) Here were his stats that day.
Weight- 31 lbs. 6 oz. (83rd percentile)
Height- About 37 inches-The chart the nurse used only went up to 36 inches so she kind of guessed. (about the 90th percentile)
Head- 49 3/4 cm (75th percentile)

Fun in the Snow
Hudson had a blast playing in the recent snow! What a difference a year makes...in the last year's big snow fall he just stood around...not really sure what to do. This year he just took off. He wanted to touch the snow, throw the snow, run in the snow, and sled....boy did he love to sled. It was so fun to get out there with him. I made sure not to keep him out too long since it was bitterly cold, but he definitely got in some fun and I got in a few good pictures! Maybe we'll have 1 or 2 more snowfalls worthy of getting him out in it!

JOY
There are few things that I think can describe TRUE joy. But with children that joy can be seen much more often. Today I saw TRUE joy in the eyes of my sweet Hudson when he got to play outside in the snow, as he went down the hill with daddy on the sled and pleaded "agin, agin!", and as he chased us around the yard shouting, "go, go, go!". I love that boy. My TRUE joy is seeing his joy shine bright. Pictures to follow soon....XOXO

And so it begins..again.
School that is. Spring semester is upon me. I go back tomorrow night for my first class, then start back Tuesday with a full week. I really, REALLY don't want to go back this time. I have so enjoyed the last few weeks at home with my boys every night...cooking supper at a leisurely pace, playing, coloring, and just enjoying our nights. BUT the good news is, this is the last time I have to feel this way. This semester is my last. I am ready for a long break from school and to start a new career. Maybe I'll go back for a doctorate later on down the road....after I've had all my little Blake babies:) But I have decided that this week I will look at my glass half FULL (because really its over flowing) and feel lucky that I have such a wonderful and supportive family that has allowed me the opportunity to further my education and that I am almost DONE!!!

BACK to bloggin'!
Well...its been awhile. I won't go on and on about how busy I have been or about all the things that have kept me from keeping up the blog...really its all an excuse. I have decided in 2011 that there are some things I will just MAKE myself make time for...and this blog is one of them. It has been such a fun experience to look back at old posts and read about what was happening then. Blogging is such a great way to keep track and document the little things that happen in our very busy lives. I am a blog reader through and through...especially of mother's who blog. I think its just so interesting to read about differing opinions on motherhood and all that it entails. It is safe to say that once you have children you realize how quickly time really does pass. I love to watch Hudson grow, learn, and change but it is also such a bittersweet thing. Each time he does something new its like a little more of the baby has left him. So I think keeping this blog for me can be somewhat therapeutic . I mean, don't get me wrong...I'm not losing my mind because Hudson is growing up or anything...BUT I'm sure most mothers can relate. Like I said...bittersweet. So anyway, I'm back and will update as often as I can...once a week is my hope. I have been a super busy grad student for the last year and a half...trying to take as many classes as I can a semester so that I can graduate and we can all move on with our lives. Tyler and I are so excited to move forward, by a new house, have more babies, and just be. School has taken a lot of my time and has been a juggling act to say the least. Good news is my course work is done in May...so we have almost accomplished our goal and my Masters degree is in sight..yay! As for Hudson, he is just amazing. I can't believe he is 2. He's so bright, sweet, perceptive, sensitive, wild, and all around fun. Despite the tantrums, I love this age. Everyday is something new. I have added a slideshow I made of his 2nd year...that should catch everyone back up. I'm excited to start writing again and I hope those who follow are excited to read again. Happy 2011..xoxo
